Crayon skateboards was created due to the collapse of East skateboards, a company the founding members of Crayon were heavily involved in. Members decided to combine their energy from East to start something new in which they had full creative say. The name Crayon was chosen because it connotes creativity and fun. A not too serious image which is portrayed in the graphics.
Crayon founder, Matthew 'Dykie' Ryan has been at the heart of the South Wales skateboard scene for well over a decade.
